Are you a choreographer of the lady persuasion? If so, then we want to see your work! Inclined Dance Project’s audience favorite series inQUAD is returning this August at Dixon Place and due to popular inquiry we have opened up the application to any female identifying choreographer.
inQUAD is an original Split-Bill Performance series that began in 2015. IDP director Kristen Klein gathered together a group of female choreographers who were experiencing mutual difficulties in producing their work – exhausting application processes, shady producers, promises of networking/ticket sales/documentation that never came to fruition, and lackluster performance caliber – and set themselves to create a split-bill where the participating choreographers felt valued and rewarded. In addition, inQUAD set out to create a form of networking between choreographers, dance artists, and audience to ensure future collaborations and patron interaction.
inQUAD has had sold-out shows for the past two years, and we are so excited for this year’s iteration! inQUAD used to be an invitation only performance but due to the huge amount of inquiries following 2016’s shows this year’s edition is now open to general application. We can’t wait to see everyone’s amazing work!
